Update

I've listed my tshirt on Etsy.  My loyal fan club (friends) is viewing my shirt and it was added to another seller's Treasury on the first day!  My store is a little bare as I've only got two listing but this motivates me to do some easy stuff to list.  And to work on my second tshirt!  I've started the drawing portion.  That's the news in this neck of the woods!  Here's the link to the listing for the Great Lakes Tee.   https://www.etsy.com/listing/222713598/great-lakes-tee-shirt?  And here's pic of the tee!Great Lakes Tee Shirt

Step Two

The tee shirts have arrived!  I think I've gotten the Etsy listing just about ready to go, I'm taking photos tomorrow.  I really like how the shirts look!  The colors are perfect and the fit is true like they said it would be.  Friends on Facebook have messaged they want one (or some!) so that's cool on it's own!  I'm excited to see how they are received on Etsy.  I've got another idea for a tee I'm going to start on.  There are several parts so I think by the time I'm ready to submit a first draft I'll know how well the first one is going to go.  I'm just so excited to see my art on something other than my sketchbook!

The Winter Maids First Blog Entry

First entry, I want to tell you a little about The Winter Maid & myself.  Vital stats pertaining to this blog: I love art, I have studied art, I am taking the plunge (it's really more of a toe tip) into selling something I've made (aka art) that came from the projector in my head. The Winter Maid is the name I've picked for my etsy store and (trendy alert!) my brand. It's winter about five months of the year where I live so I've spent a good hunk of my life indoors, trying just about anything to keep entertained.  My art has evolved from the opportunity winter provides.  I've set things into motion, hopefully a steady motion that gains momentum, to sell a tee shirt or three. Possibly some other art of some other medium.  I'm not going to pressure myself into a panic. No one is quitting any jobs. It's just time to put a little of me out there.  I'm going use this blog to chronicle the adventure!
